UPDATE: None of the plants in the front bed made it. I think we're either going to try again by tilling some garden soil into the dirt, or use the turtle as a planter. I'm leaning towards planter. Sorry, neighbors.

The start of the season
This is a new bed where we're planting some veggies. Unfortunately, the watermelon and cucumbers don't seem to be doing well. Hopefully I can replace the this weekend since it's so early in the season. The turtle is acting as temporary weed control - I thought we were pretty creative, but I wonder what the neighbors think?

I think it's definitely early enough to replace, especially considering the crazy weather we're having!! We went to Lowes yesterday and they have lots of fun stuff.
